Reasons That Can Cause Your Rejection in Interview

Interview plays an important role in hiring process. It is process where you can show interviewers that you are most talented person to be hired. However, most of people get fail in interview. We can take a little example that when people apply against job vacancies in Egypt , number of applicants often reach to hundreds against a single job. Among those hundreds of applicants, only few of top people are called for interview among which only one most suitable candidate is selected for that job. This means that if you want to win competition then you will need to be competent from all means. Here are some reasons that can cause your rejection in interview.

Missing CV Objectives:

When applying to a job, many people make a mistake in their CV that they write general objectives in CV. They don’t focus on job oriented objectives that can catch sight of interviewer. For example if a person is applying in education department, health department or any other department, he will use same CV without focusing on departments oriented objectives. This thing does not make sense and hence interviewers reject him due to his CV.

Missing CV Cover Letter:

When applying to a job, applicant must attach a cover letter that may describe your unique qualification and skills that meet with job specifications and requirements. A cover letter always makes a good impression on employee and interviewers. However, it has seen that in many cases while applying to a job, people miss to write a cover letter and submit along with their CV. Only a CV can’t catch attention of interviewer hence without cover letter, applicant is rejected.

Poor Follow Up in Cover Letter/CV:

If you are writing a CV and cover letter, when you have written all details about you, you need to write there a few lines to follow up job vacancy. You can write there like “I feel that I am perfect for this job. Further things you can discuss with me. I will be available at (Phone Number) in day and (Phone number) in evening.” This is a professional way to catch attention of employee to contact with you and discuss about job and your skills. However, most of people don’t use follow up line. If they use, then they use inappropriate lines that are hard to catch attention of interviewer of employee.

Unprofessional Attitude During Interview:

Most of people show unprofessional attitude during their interview. Some people use high pitch of voice and some people use low pitch of voice. This does not put a positive impression on interviewer and hence you can rejected. It has been also seen that some of people don’t care about their dress code while going for interview. Remember that your dress code should be formal dress if you are going for a job interview. Your pleasant and confident personality can make good impression at interviewer but however if you have nothing done with these things then your impression will be negative that could cause your job rejection.
